Undefeated
The basketball season is still young, but so far both the boys and girls (St. James Tigers) are undefeated. Woohoo! Went to the boys game tonight, after the Rolla School Nurse Christmas party (after school). They easily beat Steelville, so it was a good opportunity to get some photos of players who don't usually see much playing time.
I do believe our player got a charging foul on this particular play...
Influenza has hit the area...with diagnosed cases showing up in the schools. Also some nasty stomach viruses--one of the elementary nurses "went down" and was absent today and will probably be absent again tomorrow. So far RMS has no confirmed influenza, but who knows what tomorrow will bring. Today was mostly sore throats--lots of warm salt water gargles. Today a 5th grader told me all about the "automatic bomb" that the United States dropped on Japan to end "the war".
While I'm working tomorrow, Dennis (lucky dog) will be hanging with Jax while Sara (and Matt) are at work. Not sure what happened with the regular babysitter, but I'm so happy for Dennis. Just wish it was me instead of him. He has strict orders to take lots of photos.
In keeping with the spirit of the season, I'm reading An Amish Christmas. It's a series of short stories/novellas set in a (fictional) Amish community--very uplifting and positive.
